Sigma 3-18KT Delivers Higher RCF than the Sigma 3-17KT

The Sigma 3-18KT reaches more than 30 000 × g, compared to 25 559 × g for the Sigma 3-17KT. The new model also delivers higher rotor speeds across several rotor configurations while maintaining a sample temperature of 4 °C at maximum speed. This allows faster sample separation and supports applications that require higher centrifugal forces.

New FA-8x50-V Rotor for 50 ml Conical Tubes

One of the highlights of the Sigma 3-18KT is the new FA-8x50-V fixed-angle rotor for 8 × 50 ml conical tubes. It offers exceptionally high capacity for this class of centrifuge and features a 40° angle for central pellet formation.

Like all fixed-angle rotors for the Sigma 3-18KT, the FA-8x50-V is equipped with the RapidTurn closing mechanism and meets the latest aerosol-tightness requirements.

Touchscreen Control and Data Traceability

The centrifuge uses the Spincontrol T Expert touchscreen control system. Users can export run data to a USB drive, access service information via QR codes and optionally manage user accounts. 
These functions support process documentation and laboratory quality management requirements.

ECO Mode Reduces Energy Consumption

The integrated ECO Mode automatically switches off refrigeration and dims the display after a period of inactivity.

This reduces energy consumption, lowers noise levels and helps extend the service life of the cooling system.
