Refractometers
Refractometers measure the extent of light refraction of transparent substances in either a liquid or solid state. Refractometric measurements can be used for example for purity investigations, sample recognition, dilution control or composition. It is also applied in the characterization of substances or for the determination of substance data, especially of organic liquids.
Important areas of application are the food-analysis (for example the investigation of oils or fat, sugar and sugar containing substances), beer and spirituous beverages, clinical chemistry and the investigation of liquids.
