New Product: Sigma 3-18KT – Premium-Class Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge

Sigma Laborzentrifugen has introduced the new Sigma 3-18KT refrigerated benchtop centrifuge, combining high performance, process reliability and intuitive touchscreen operation in a compact design. The system has been developed for laboratories that require premium sample separation performance while maintaining precise temperature control.

The Sigma 3-18KT delivers centrifugal forces exceeding 30,000 × g and guarantees a sample temperature of 4°C even at maximum speed. Thanks to its wide range of rotors, the centrifuge can be configured for various laboratory applications, from routine analyses to demanding research procedures.

A key feature is the FA-8x50-V fixed-angle rotor designed for 8 × 50 ml conical tubes. The rotor complies with the latest aerosol-tightness standards and incorporates the innovative RapidTurn lid mechanism for fast and convenient opening and closing. Its 40° angle design also ensures precise pellet positioning.

The centrifuge is equipped with the advanced Spincontrol T Expert touchscreen control system. In addition to intuitive operation, it offers features supporting quality management and process documentation, including operating data export via USB, access to service information through QR codes, and optional user management functions.

The Sigma 3-18KT has also been developed with energy efficiency in mind.
The ECO Mode function automatically switches off the refrigeration system and dims the display after a predefined period of inactivity, helping reduce energy consumption, lower laboratory noise levels and extend the service life of the refrigeration system.

The centrifuge is suitable for pharmaceutical laboratories, food quality control laboratories, cell culture laboratories, research institutions, environmental laboratories, as well as hospitals and veterinary clinics.
